A development studio from Germany. Design, build and operations.

GGS Network designs, builds and operates software, from the interface down to the servers underneath, together with its partner studio Nouvex. This site is a self-presentation, not an offer.

One studio. Three disciplines.

Design, development and operations sit in one pair of hands, so nothing gets lost between two hand-overs.

  • Design

Interfaces and design systems, built for light and dark, desktop and phone from the start.

  • Development

Web, mobile and APIs, with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Bun, Go and PostgreSQL.

  • Operations

Servers, network and storage under our own administration, with monitoring, backups and updates.

How we work

A small studio with a clear stance: what gets built also gets operated.

Our own to administer

Infrastructure

Servers, network and storage run in German data centres under our own administration. No resold third-party capacity, and no middleman between a fault and its cause.

Nouvex

Partner studio

Design and development happen together with the partner studio Nouvex. GGS Network provides the ground underneath and keeps it running.

GDPR-ready

Security & privacy

Data-minimal architecture, hosting in Germany and processing you can account for — privacy designed in from the start, not bolted on afterwards.

Past the launch

Operations

Deployment, monitoring, backups and updates — permanently. What cannot be operated does not get built.

Remote desktop built on Moonlight and Sunshine

In development: an alternative to RDP for companies. A Windows workstation arrives as a video stream in the browser or the GGS desktop app, over WebTransport straight from our own data server, never by way of the API.

  • Up to 3840 × 2160

Resolution, 1920 × 1080 at 60 frames per second by default

    Sunshine integration

  • WebTransport

Over QUIC with TLS 1.3; picture and sound never pass through the API

    Data plane in Go

  • Self-hosted

Our own data server, Windows workstations with Sunshine

    Architecture

GGS3-DB: in-memory database with the PostgreSQL protocol

In development: a column-oriented database in main memory, modelled on the SAP HANA column store. Clients connect over the PostgreSQL protocol, and analytical queries run in parallel on every core.

  • PostgreSQL protocol

psql and Npgsql connect without a driver of their own

    Protocol 3.0

  • Columns in RAM

Dictionary encoding for text, parallel scans on every core

    Column store

  • Commit after fsync

Redo log with group commit, restart from snapshot and log

    Durability

A development studio.

Design, build and operations.

Together with Nouvex.

How the studio works

From the first sketch to operations, with no hand-over to strangers.

  1. Design

First the interface and the design system, then the first line of code. Light and dark, desktop and phone are thought through from the start.

  2. Build

Web, mobile and API from one repository, with contracts that frontend and backend share.

  3. Operate

Deployment, monitoring and backups run on infrastructure under our own administration, in German data centres.

  4. Carry on

What runs gets looked after: updates, keys, availability. What cannot be operated does not get built.

Who is behind the studio

Two people design, build and run what is made here.
